NO MULTIRACIAL VETERANS?

NO MULTIRACIAL VETERANS?

Below are the numbers released by the US Census Bureau about our veterans. Apparently, multiracial veterans were not included.

It's Veteran's Day. The number of black veterans in 2011 2.3 million. Additionally, 1.2 million veterans were Hispanic; 264,695 were Asian; 153,223 were American Indian or Alaska Native; 27,469 were Native Hawaiian or Other Pacific Islander; and 17.2 million were non-Hispanic white. (The numbers for blacks, Asians, American Indians and Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians and Other Pacific Islanders, and non-Hispanic whites cover only those reporting a single race.)

  1. This deliberate slight of men and women who have fought and died for this country is unconscionable. What the US Census Bureau is implying by neglecting to include Multiracial service men and women is that Multiracial veterans aren't worth bothering to count or even mention, or that there were no Multiracial veterans! Of course, it is hard for the near-sighted US Census Bureau to see Multiracial men and women in the military with their heads up their behinds! This affront is a slap in the face to ALL Multiracial citizens. This makes me angry and it should make you angry, too!
