I, however, do not hold his point of view and I doubt the majority of multiracial people in this country do, either. <br /><br />It is my belief that it is ludicrous to deny a part of yourself. If you are both AM and W and you only claim AM, it would be like the left side of a body declaring that the body only consists of the left side and the right side is to be disregarded completely - it is inconsequential, useless. Sound foolish? It is!<br /><br />As for the so-called "one drop rule" - it was never a law, only something imposed upon blacks to prevent intermarriage and/or interracial offspring. Are you saying that you uphold this nonsense? <br /><br />You have a right to your opinion and you also have the right to instruct your children. Just know that you have all ready denied your white mother (1/2 of you) and you are teaching your children to deny their mother (1/2) of them. How every disrespectful.Catherine L.noreply@blogger.com
